The interactive Todd County, Kentucky Place Names Map went online April 01, 2020. Its public debut marked the 200th anniversary of  the county's founding April 01, 1820. Under the auspices of Historic Todd County, Inc., Todd County Public Library, Todd County Fiscal Court, and Todd County Bicentennial Celebration Committee, we organized data into ten searchable categories for browsing by anyone with internet access. 
Category layers listed alphabetically may be toggled on and off by checking or unchecking one at a time for clarity or in multiples for comparison purposes. Past and present content on each layer is identified by a pin color assigned to its category: 

  • Burials include cemeteries, burial grounds, and individual grave sites.
  • Civic describes places related to cities, towns, and unincorporated communities.
  • Commercial/Industrial features businesses from store and mill sites to factories.
  • Education locates public and private school sites and facilities.
  • Historical sites illustrate points where significant events occurred and existing relics. 
  • Hydrographic data detail the county's ponds, streams, rivers, and lakes.
  • Infrastructure includes transportation and communication systems in the built environment.
  • Religious sites and structures are located throughout the county.
  • Residences identify homes and farms by names
  • Topographic features range from local landmarks to the highest peak.
